Hlengiwe Zwane, is the MD of JDD Psych Consulting. She is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA), and Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa (BHF). 

She offers Psychological interventions: individual psychotherapy, Supportive therapy, couple’s psychotherapy, as well as group psychotherapy. 

In addition to her registration as stated above, she is a certified facilitator/trainer and assessor. She is a resident psychologist on KAYA FM 95.9 and contributes on the Monday open-line, Home with Mapaseka Mokwele. This is a radio talk show that deals with day to day problems, family difficulties, parenting issues, relationships and other emotional problems. At times she also contributes on other media platforms. These includes, Elle magazine South Africa, Drum magazine, True love magazine, Move magazine, ClubX magazine, Mamas and Papas magazine, STAR newspaper, Beeld newspaper and many others. She continues to offer psychological guidance on questions from readers of Izithombe magazine. She has featured as an expert contributor on some of the TV programmes focusing on mental health issues, among other TV shows she was an expert contributor on Talk S.A a show on SABC 2 which focused on teenage suicide.

Before qualifying as a clinical psychologist, she worked in other fields, compiling 12 years working experience as an employee. She held positions within business/company settings, Non Profit Organisations, government sectors as well as recruitment and human resource settings. This has offered a solid foundation and background that further assists in how she views people and work with them. Other work experiences as a psychologist include her work in different Hospitals both in medical wards as well as psychiatric wards. Hospitals include: Bara hospital, Helen Joseph,  Tara Hospital as well as family therapy at Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital. She has also worked as a Deputy Director at National Department of Education in Pretoria.

Hlengiwe Zwane is a Christian who is also able to work within the Christian faith if requested. Yet her open minded nature allows her to work with people from all backgrounds. She has received intensive training within Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural  Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, DBT as well as Integrative Approach.  Although she is able to work in all these approaches, she believes  in tailoring therapy to suit individual needs.
